** VARIOUS PAST AND PRESENT MEDIA PROJECTS **

FOREFRONT MEDIA LABS

forefront-media-lab350x141

Originally created as a platform to market in the virtual world space, Forefront Media Labs has done a variety of projects from time to time.  Typically as “one man bands” go, this has become a vehicle for me to brand and pursue various New Media projects.  Aside from many New Media site creations, communication delivery projects and podcast education sessions, Forefront Media Labs most notable project to date was bringing Barack Obama to Second Life early in the primary process (scroll down this page for details.)

As an ongoing concern, Forefront Media Labs is always looking for ways to help people reach other people in the New Media and Social Media space, so if you have any needs, just send me an email  to “markblinder at gmail.com.”

This is the next book and continuation of The Adventures of the Man in the Can series.  In this book, learn how the Man in the Can learns of his identity, hear the Origin of the Man in the Can (part two is here) and find out how he becomes the new mini-superhero “Microscopic Man!”  The book is an ongoing work and more info on the book can be found at the Bedtime Stories My Kids Love site .  You can also find all the Adventures of Microscopic Man and news about the tiny hero at his new site;  http://www.microscopicman.com .

THIN AIR SUMMIT – DENVER, COLORADO

In early November 2008 I had the pleasure to speak at the Thin Air Summit in Denver, Colorado.  My part in the conference was to have a conversation with the participants on “Finding Your Voice.”  Attached you will find a copy of the presentation.  For all those that attended the session in Denver and coming here for a copy, thanks again for coming and I look forward to seeing you again.

FAMILY JEWELS RADIO NETWORK

Family Jewels Radio is in the beta stage but you can check it out at www.familyjewelsradio.com (which will take you to the beta MySpace site).  The site is filled with all family friendly audio podcasts for kids, teens and adults alike.  Give us some time to tweak the programming and work out the kinks in the stream and soon thereafter, expect Family Jewels Radio to get a real grown-up site of its own. :)

NEW MEDIA EXPO – LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

I was fortunate to be asked to speak at the New Media Expo (formerly the Podcast and New Media Expo and prior to that the Podcast Expo) in Las Vegas in the summer of 2008.  Knowing that this convention attracted allot of independent New Media producers and those just getting started, I decided to engage the audience in a conversation on how to build “Buzz” for thier New Media projects without spending an arm or a leg.  If you are visiting this site and attended my portion of the conference, thank you for coming and I look forward to seeing you again.

HOPE. ACTION. CHANGE – COMMUNITY KICKOFF PROJECT

Obama Kicks Off Community Campaign in Iowa From Both the Real and Virtual World

Barack Obama, candidate for the President of the United States from Illinois (and recently elected President), on Saturday, March 31st, 2007 at 3:00 pm Central time, spoke to a small group gathered in the home of an Iowa family (the event was moved later to the local library as the home was not large enough.)  Although the event was streamed live at barakobama.com it was also “simulcast” in the virtual world, Second Life. The simulcast featured a virtual Obama, sitting and standing in a virtual living room, addressing a crowd of avatars within the simulation.

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO APPEARANCES

Sirius

Before XM Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio merged, PodShow premiered many of their best and brightest podcasts on Sirius Radio. Bedtime Stories My Kids Love was featured on Sirius several times along with numerous appearances of Build the Church on the weekly Independent Music Podcast/Show, PodShow Music Rewind.

In addition, I had the opportunity to be host PodShow’s most popular podcast, Adam Curry’s “Daily Source Code”  several times, all of which appeared on Sirius Satellite Radio.  All that coupled with numerous appearances of the Build the Church podcast on Sirius’ weekly Independent Music Show, PodShow Music Rewind and countless Daily Source Code show intro’s adds up to dozens of appearances on the satellite network.
